The Pines Children’s Short Breaks

 We aim to provide quality care individually designed to give appropriate support whilst maximising independence and choice 

The Pines Short Break Centre offers residential short breaks at our spacious purpose-built single-storey facility. We have six large single bedrooms, a lounge, soft playroom, chill out room, large sensory room, toy room, kitchen and dining room, along with an enclosed garden with various outdoor play equipment.

We can support up to six young people between the ages of 5 and 18 years with learning disabilities or complex needs.

Our staff provide individually designed quality care and support to maximise the independence and choice of the young person.

The Pines Centre is located on the outskirts of Hertford, a historical market town in East Hertfordshire. We are a 30-minute walk from the centre of town and playground and playing field within just a few minutes’ walk away. The Pines is close by to several local schools attended by the young people, with access to the A10 and A414 within short driving distance

Like our Peartree Centre we provide these services to children and young people from Hertfordshire. We are also able to offer services to other authorities who make referrals to our services.
