Support Workers

Job Title: Support Worker

Job Type: Full / Part Time Hours

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Salary Details: £9.45 – £10.12 per hour

We have several fantastic opportunities to join us as a Support Worker within our Adult and Children’s Short Breaks, Supported Living and Residential Services. We are looking for motivated and caring Support Workers who will support our service users to live the life they choose, ideally you will have 1 years’ experience in Health and Social Care.

However, if you are a quick learner, want a change in career and want to learn how to become a great Support Worker then apply!

What does this job involve?

  • Providing support to individuals with learning disabilities
  • Completing daily paperwork
  • Keeping our service users safe, managing risk, following policies and procedures
  • Providing personal care
  • Administering medication
  • Sharing knowledge and information with your team regarding the daily wellbeing of our service users
  • Working towards our services users’ goals and dreams in their support plans, update support plans
  • Effective communication and great teamwork

Am I the right person for this job?

  • Ideally you will have experience with working with Adults or Children with Learning Disabilities
  • You will understand the importance of your role as a Support Worker
  • You will be able to work hard and take responsibility
  • We need people who are open & honest

Waking Night Support Workers

Job Title: Waking Night Support Worker

Job Type: Full / Part Time Hours

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Salary Details: £10.50 per hour

We are looking for motivated and caring Waking Night Support Workers who have worked in the role before and ideally have a Level 3 Health and Social Care.

Senior Support Worker

Job Title: Senior Support Worker

Job Type: Full time

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Salary Details: £12.00 per hour

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker for our Ofsted rated OUTSTANDING Children’s Short Breaks service that provides much needed respite care for children with learning disabilities. This highly skilled team provides short breaks for children in a fantastic environment and this in turn provides support for their families.

As a Senior Support Worker leading this team, you will give the children the very best person-centered care in a stimulating, safe and fun environment. In return we’ll give you the support and development opportunities you need to make the most of this rewarding role and achieve your individual goals in life.

About the job:

  • You will take the lead in supporting service users in line with their support plans, including people with complex emotional and physical needs, to maximise and maintain their independence
  • You will be confident in leading shifts, delegating tasks and dealing with issues as they arise
  • You will inspire others around you to strive for excellence
  • You will need to promote good practice, undertake medication duties, including administration and recording as well as leading teams to do the same
  • You will participate in improving the quality of service experienced by the people we support
  • You’ll also participate in regular training and the formal 1-1 and annual appraisal scheme and receive support via team meetings
  • This is a shift based role as we are a 24/7 Charity that operates 365 days of the year
