Deputy Manager – Adults Service

Job Title: Deputy Manager – Adults

Job Type: Full time / Part time –  including bank holidays and weekends

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Salary Details: £25,500 – £27,000

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Deputy Manager to apply with a local Charity in Welwyn Garden City. 

The purpose of this role is to deputise and manage, meet regulatory requirements and help develop the Supported Living and Dom Care services. As the Deputy of this service you will work with the Registered Manager to motivate, support, inspire and develop the team, so we meet the highest standards of care and support. We are striving to reach ‘Outstanding’ with all our CQC and Ofsted services. You must therefore be able to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, openness, honesty and care for our Service Users.

Your responsibilities as the Deputy Manager will include:

  • Taking responsibility for delivering a quality service designed to meet the individual needs and preferences of each service user
  • Supporting and leading our team and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills, through training, coaching and development
  • Supporting and developing the teams to enable the Service Users to live their lives the way they choose
  • Communicating effectively at all levels within the charity
  • Participating in the delivery and monitoring of the service which includes all day-to-day operational requirements, as well as quality monitoring
  • Demonstrating continuous improvement of the service, including risk and quality management
  • Guiding others in maintaining a healthy and safe environment
  • Supporting with rota management and resourcing
  • Be able to work across different services if required

What skills do I need to have to become a Deputy Manager at Jubilee House?

  • Minimum of RQF (NVQ) Level 4 qualification and a willingness to study towards Level 5
  • A breadth of knowledge and experience from other roles that will enhance the service and Jubilee House’s reputation
  • The ability to work in a flexible and creative way, changing course and direction as necessary, in order to meet the needs of our service users and the Charity. This will include being on shift once a week
  • Be a positive and professional role model
  • Be able to communicate effectively in a constructive, transparent, open and honest manner
  • Experience of working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Have experience working in a management position within a care environment
  • A desire to grow and develop an excellent service within an expanding charity
  • Performing on call duties as part of our rolling rota providing out of hours support to all the services.

 

Waking Night Support Worker

Job Title: Waking Night Support Worker

Job Type: Full time / Part time –  including bank holidays and weekends

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Salary Details: £10 per hour

Jubilee House has an opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker to join our Supported Living service based in Welwyn Garden City. This service supports adults, ideally you will be Level 2 qualified and will have experience in a similar role.

As a Waking Night Support Worker you will provide waking night support alongside the sleep-in staff where provided, carrying out domestic duties throughout the night and completing checks on the people we support, or being there if they need anything during the night. You will be responsible for all aspects of the services users, safety and security of the service or their home. You will be required to assist with the personal care of the individual service users/residents as defined in the individuals support plan, ensuring respect and dignity at all times.

A  thorough induction will be provided, this is paramount to us for you to be able to support our Service Users who are at the heart of our Charity.. If you are interested in finding out more about the role we would love to hear from you! 

 

Support Workers

Job Title: Support Worker

Job Type: Full /Part Time Hours

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Salary Details: £9 – £10.02 per hour

We are currently looking for Support Workers to join our dedicated staff teams.

As a Support Worker you will be supporting young people and adults with learning and physical disabilities by developing their independence, exercising their choice, making decisions, knowing their rights and promoting equal opportunities and respect for diversity. You will provide high quality person centred support and care which enables people to live their life in the way they choose. You will be required to work as part of a team and at times some lone working.

Outreach Support Workers

Job Title: Outreach Support Worker

Job Type: Full time

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Salary Details: £9 -10 per hour

Come and join our exciting, fast paced short break team in providing Outreach services either within the community or within our services.

We are looking for an energetic, passionate and confident Outreach workers. You must have experience of working with young people with additional needs including; physical, emotional and those who display difficult behaviors. A manual driving licence is essential and a willingness to drive!
